As a member you can apply for up to £2,500 to help you organise independent meetings, events and symposia. Your event can be on a range of topics and in a variety of locations.
Eligibility
To be eligible your event will need to:
- be relevant to pharmacology
- have at least one member involved in the planning
- benefit members
- make concessions for members, for example reduced registration fees
- complement our our calendar of events
- apply by the relevant deadline (typically six months in advance)
You should also consider:
- securing funding from other sources
- how your event furthers our charitable objectives
- potential output for our journals
- when your event will take place
- grants are more likely to be awarded to cover expenses such as travel bursaries, speaker expenses or ECR prizes, than catering or venue expenses
Successful applicants will need to recognise the contribution the Society makes by:
- displaying our logo
- naming us as a supporter of the event or a named lecture
- writing a short article about the event for our News page

We assess applications three times a year at Meetings Committee. Deadlines for submitting grant applications in 2025 are 5 March, 29 June and 14 October. Applications that miss the deadline will be considered at the following meeting instead.
