Professor Kevin Pfleger studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, majoring in Pharmacology, and was awarded his PhD from the University of Edinburgh. He joined The University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2002 and having received three nationally-competitive research fellowships, is now Director Biomedical Innovation at UWA and the MTPConnect WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub. He is also Head of Molecular Endocrinology and Pharmacology at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, Deputy Director of the Australian Research Council Centre for Personalised Therapeutics Technologies, President of the Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists, Chief Scientific Advisor to ASX-listed Dimerix and co-Founder of RAGE Biotech. A recipient of the Novartis Prize of the British Pharmacological Society, Professor Pfleger is currently a member of the BPS International Advisory Group. He also serves on the WA branch committee of AusBiotech, Life Sciences WA committee, management committee of the WA Health Translation Network and national steering committee of the Researcher Exchange and Development within Industry initiative.
