Vincenzo Brancaleone received his degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at University of Naples Federico II in 2001 and his PhD in Pharmaceutical Science in 2007. In 2011, he became Assistant Professor in Pharmacology and Toxicology (School of Pharmacy, University of Basilicata) and upgraded to Associate Professor position in 2022 (School of Medicine). Prof. Brancaleone is also a full member of Italian Society of Pharmacology, where he has active role in the Immunopharmacology and Gender Pharmacology working groups. Prof Brancaleone has been a former visiting PhD Student (2007) and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2009-2011) at William Harvey Research Institute (London, UK). In 2011, he has been awarded by IAIS with Young Investigator Award. Research interests of Prof. Brancaleone ranges from the study of vascular function in physiopathological conditions associated with endogenous gaseous mediators (NO, H2S) to the mechanisms of resolution of inflammation (Annexin A1, LXA4, FPR2), contributing to the field with over 70 publications and several conference attendance. Prof. Brancaleone has an extensive teaching activity in Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmacovigilance.
