Steve Tucker is a Professor of Pharmacology Education at the University of Aberdeen, where he heads the undergraduate Pharmacology programmes and the post-graduate Clinical Pharmacology/Drug Discovery programmes. After graduating from the University of Aberdeen in 2000 with a BSc in Biomedical Science (Pharmacology) and then with a PhD in Cancer Pharmacology in 2004, his research interests in signalling control of cancer cell proliferation and migration were developed through a variety of post-doctoral roles before returning to Aberdeen as a lecturer. Steve also has significant interest in advancing and innovating teaching methods and approaches in Pharmacology and in particular Pharmacokinetics, which he teaches at both UG and PG levels. He currently serves on the Editorial Board for the British Journal of Pharmacology and Pharmacology Matters, and is a BPS ambassador coordinator, with a role to develop links between the Society, students, industry and academia.
