Dr Colin Dourish

Colin T Dourish PhD DSc is Director, Co-founder and Co-owner of P1vital and its affiliate company P1vital Products. P1vital and P1vital Products provide novel healthcare products (e.g., the P1vital® Oxford Emotional Test Battery (ETB) and i-spero® used in therapies for depression) and services to improve treatment of psychiatric disorders. Dr Dourish has a successful track record in CNS drug discovery and development in major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to co-founding P1vital, he was Senior Vice President Research and CSO of Vernalis, Research Director and Co-founder of Cerebrus, Director of Neuropharmacology at Wyeth and Section Head at Merck. Dr Dourish has over 450 publications in scientific and medical journals and has edited four books in Psychopharmacology, Neuroscience, Neurology and Psychiatry. He is a Medical Sciences Expert in Residence at the University of Oxford. Dr Dourish was awarded a BSc in Psychology and a PhD and DSc in Psychopharmacology by the Queen's University of Belfast and conducted postdoctoral research at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Saskatchewan in Canada and at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology in London.
