Martin R Wilkins is Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Imperial College London. He is Vice Dean (Research) for the Faculty of Medicine, a role he combines with Director of the British Heart Foundation Imperial College Centre of Research Excellence and Director of the National Institute of Health Research Imperial Clinical Research Facility, which is based at Hammersmith Hospital.The overarching mission of his research is to leverage data from multiplex biological platforms for identifying pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) risk markers and molecular drug targets and to inform early phase clinical studies. He was elected to the UK Academy of Medical Sciences in 2015. He holds a Liebig Professorship at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen (since 2014). He was awarded honorary membership of the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences (2013).
