Bill Bowman Travelling Lectureship

Background

Younger members are at the heart of the British Pharmacological Society, as our membership includes over 1,400 undergraduates, postgraduates, and recent graduates from around the world. The Bill Bowman Lectureship was established to support the professional development of early career members.

The prize

The winner will receive £500 plus expenses to support lectures at two institutes in the UK and Ireland and one in Europe.

Criteria

The candidate will be assessed on their published work, which must include at least one paper published in the British Journal of Pharmacology, the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology or Pharmacology Research & Perspectives, and the strength of the lecture summary.

Eligibility

Nominee must be an early career researcher and will ordinarily be expected to have been a member for at least 2 years. Nominations by members only. Self-nomination is acceptable, but the names and full contact details of two referees must be provided. Proposers should ensure that candidates are willing to make the necessary commitment to travel before submitting nominations.
