Wellcome Gold Medal Winners

Background

The Wellcome Gold Medal is normally awarded by the British Pharmacological Society biannually to recognize outstanding achievements by a pharmacologist.

The prize

The winner will receive a medal and £2,000.

Criteria

Candidates will have made outstanding and sustained contributions to pharmacology, based mainly on leadership and research achievements.

Eligibility & Nomination

  • Candidates need not be Society members
  • Nominations can be made by members only and should be sent in confidence and without the knowledge of the nominee. Self-nomination is not acceptable
  • There are no restrictions nationality, place of residence or work of nominees
