The Society’s Young Pharmacologists Advisory Group invites undergraduate and taught postgraduate students to nominate individuals they believe to be exceptional teachers.
Short-listed nominees and their nominators will be invited to an awards ceremony during Pharmacology, our annual meeting.
A nominator from the student body will be invited to speak briefly in support of their nominee and a judging panel will announce the winning teacher on the night.
The winning teacher will receive a trophy in recognition of their achievement in pharmacology teaching.
Nominations should be based on the quality and impact of the nominee’s teaching of pharmacology. Teaching can be either on stand-alone pharmacology courses or as part of broader courses.
Nominations must be put forward by students. Students at each UK teaching institution can nominate only one individual. It is the responsibility of nominating students to determine how they select their nominee.
Nominators must be members of the Society. Nominees do not need to be a member but must teach at institutions within the UK.
8 April 2016.
