Grahame-Smith Prize

Background

Established in 1975 and formerly known as the GlaxoSmithKline Prize for Research in Clinical Pharmacology, this biennial prize is named in honour of Professor David Grahame-Smith and recognises outstanding contributions to research in clinical pharmacology.

The prize

The winner will receive £500 and be invited to give a lecture at a meeting of the British Pharmacological Society.

Criteria

  • Quality of the nomination
  • Quality of the candidate's career to date
  • Assessment of the candidate's contribution to research in clinical pharmacology

Eligibility

Candidates:

  • Must have been members of the Society for at least two years
  • Will be at mid-career level or new professors
  • Self-nomination is acceptable
