Student events and lectures sponsorship

Published: 28 Feb 2019 in Grants and sponsorship

Members can apply for up to £250 to help towards the costs of a speaker and networking event. You can explore topics in depth and share ideas with your peers.

Organising an event is a fantastic opportunity to build up your CV. You will gain skills in teamwork, budget management and collaboration.

To be eligible the meeting will need to:

  • organised by an undergraduate or postgraduate member
  • be for pharmacology (or related) students or societies
  • include a five minute introduction to the Society (we will send you this presentation)

We may ask you to provide a 50 word summary for our newsletter, blogs or Pharmacology Matters.

To apply you will need to:

  • submit a completed application form
  • outline how the funding will contribute to your event
  • show a commitment to securing funding from other sources
  • explain how you intend to advertise the event

Applications are considered by the Society’s Early Career Pharmacologists Advisory Group several times a year. Please ensure you submit your applications a minimum of 8 weeks ahead of the event, to allow the team time to review your proposal and respond effectively.

To ensure a fair awards process, we can not award the funding to the same institute in consecutive years.
