Non Society meetings bursaries

As a member, you can apply for a bursary to help you attend and present at pharmacology related events. Support is generally restricted to members who have had an abstract accepted for presentation. We will, however, consider supporting invited talks, if no funding is provided by the event organisers, and the applicant is promoting/representing the Society.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you need to:

  • be a current member - applicants are generally expected to have been members of the Society for at least one year
  • be presenting an abstract at the event
  • be the sole presenter of the abstract
  • apply by the relevant deadline (applications will only be considered if the start of the meeting is not more than 26 nor less than six weeks after the application deadline)

Deadlines for applications are:

  • 31 January
  • 30 April
  • 31 July
  • 31 October

To apply you will need to:

  • send the application form by the relevant deadline
  • send a copy of your abstract

Payments

To receive payment, you will need to complete and submit our bursary claim form. This must be within four weeks of the closing date of the meeting.

Along with your bursary claim form you must submit:

  • original receipts (keep copies if required, as we will not return these)
  • copy of email confirming the bursary
  • certificate of attendance

We will only make payments to a bank account in the applicant’s name, unless otherwise stated.
