The British Pharmacological Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences developed this briefing to inform a debate in parliament which focuses on Schedule 1 as a barrier to legitimate research. It makes three recommendations to address this, including a specific call to action on psychedelics. It builds on engagement from our organisations (and others in the research community) with ACMD and the Home Office on these issues.
