The Advisory Panel on Substance Misuse (APoSM) was invited to review the Welsh Government policy response to the increase in drug-related deaths related to tramadol and other prescription only medicines. The Society responded to highlight the need for further research in this area and to refer to a study suggesting potentially significant misuse of opioid containing OTC and prescription medications in the UK.
