In May 2024, the BPS held a webinar which explored how to bring science to life for a public audience by creating engaging content. Covering video, written, social media content, as well as inclusive events, the aim of the webinar was to support those who are looking to translate their research to a wide audience.
The webinar was split into four talks:

- 'The power of simple science writing' - Chloe Gynne (Communications Manager, British Pharmacological Society): Drawing on her years of experience in copywriting, editing, journalism and campaigns, Chloe gives you the inside knowledge on writing attention-grabbing copy.
- 'Science communication: The use of social media' - Yasmin Dickinson (PhD candidate, William Harvey Research Institute; Owner, The Cardiac Scientist): Yasmin shares her journey in disseminating her science through social media. She talks about how she built her following across platforms, and how she harnesses trends to make sure her content stays relevant and exciting.
