  • Overview

FRAME is an independent charity dedicated to promoting the 3Rs and the development of new techniques that will replace the need for laboratory animals in medical and scientific research, education, and testing. FRAME believes in the development of better scientific methods for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment and our aim is the elimination of the need to use laboratory animals in any kind of medical or scientific procedures.

The aim of the Symposium is to celebrate and showcase work being carried out by early career researchers (postdocs and PhD students) in the 3Rs area of ‘replacement’ techniques. FRAME would like to highlight and share research projects being carried out within universities which may not have been developed with the aim of being an ‘alternative’ to animals, but by their nature are helping to advance the development of replacement techniques.

FRAME is inviting PhD students, postdocs and researchers within 6 years of their PhD completion to enter abstracts of their works.
