Early Career Membership is for postgraduate students working on a pharmacological topic, postdoctoral scientists within five years of the award of their PhD or within 8 of their primary medical degree (exclusive of significant career breaks). Clinical pharmacology scientists, pharmacists in their first or second year of qualification and industry scientists within five years of the award of a degree.

Early Career Members shall automatically be progressed to Full Membership at the appropriate time.
What you need to apply
- A CV for non-students. Postgraduates must submit confirmation of your status at university. This could be a screenshot of your student portal or a certificate of student status, for example.
- Credit or debit card (or UK bank account details if opting for Direct Debit)
Cost
- January – September: £30 covers membership until the end of the year
- October – December: £37.50 covers membership until the end of the following year
Applicants from low and middle income countries will receive the relevent discount upon application and any subsequent renewal.
Income tax relief on your subscription can be claimed by UK-based members if you are a current Tax Payer. Membership fees are 100% tax deductible.
