The British Pharmacological Society has a long track record of organising highly successful meetings. From small educational workshops to focused meetings with up to 200 delegates, our events are popular and acclaimed. Our annual flagship meeting, Pharmacology, attracted more than 1,000 delegates in 2014.
All meetings are planned by a professional Head of Meetings and the Vice President – Meetings (who chairs the Society’s Meetings Committee). This group forms organising committees through its broad membership in academia and industry.
Our scientific meetings cover the latest research from across the whole spectrum of pharmacology from basic to clinical science. In addition to symposia, poster presentations, oral presentations, and prize lectures, the meetings also offer invaluable opportunities for participants to network with pharmacologists from the UK, Europe and overseas.
The Society offers a variety of sponsorship and exhibition opportunities to suit different partners’ needs. We are always happy to discuss tailored packages, so please do not hesitate to contact the meetings team to find out what we can offer you.
On many occasions I have returned home from a British Pharmacological Society event having established contacts or collaborations that proved important in my own research or for meeting the goals of my department or institution. This reflects the fact that the Society has many long-standing corporate sponsors and supporters, which is due in part to the Society’s recognized role in fostering, over the last century research, training and education in pharmacology and therapeutics.
