Training workshops

Society training workshops

Every year we run training workshops in various cities around the UK, delivered by member experts. Our workshops will help you to develop your knowledge and expertise on specialist pharmacology topics and new techniques, and to build on core concepts.

This training is best for people working in the pharmaceutical industry, early career researchers, academics and postgraduate students. If you attend a workshop you can gain points that count towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation.

Workshops last one or two days and involve interactive tutorials, breakout sessions and time for networking. Each event has a maximum of 30 people attending, to facilitate group work.

Upcoming workshops

Following careful consideration and in line with the advice from the UK Government and World Health Organization (WHO) regarding outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, the British Pharmacological Society has taken the decision to postpone our 2020 training workshops to 2021.

If you were interested in attending any of the 2020 events, please email to be updated with details as future developments are made.

In the meantime, we ask that you take care and keep up to date with Government advice.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our events and COVID-19, please contact
