COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator (Wellcome, The Gates Foundation, Mastercard, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and others)
A collaborative effort to research, develop and bring effective treatments to market quickly and acessibly. The accelerator provides fast and flexible funding at all stages from discovery and development to manufacturing. This reduces risk across the process and ensures treatments can reach everyone who needs them particularly the most vulnerable.

MRC (a research council within UKRI) - COVID-19 Rapid Response Rolling Call
Building on the initial calls of their initiative, DHSC, through the NIHR, and UKRI are jointly launching a rolling call for proposals for research into COVID-19. For UK-led academic, SME and wider industry research that will address a wide range of COVID-19 knowledge gaps/needs, and which will lead to a benefit in UK, potentially international, public health within 12 months.  Deadline April 2021.

NIHR and UKRI - Covid-19 and ethnicity
COVID-19 and ethnicity. NIHR and UKRI are jointly calling for research proposals to investigate emerging evidence of an association between ethnicity and COVID-19 incidence and adverse health outcomes. The recommended application deadline has now passed, however applications relevant to this highlight will still be eligible for submission, but will be assessed in relation to those already funded.

UKRI - ideas that address COVID-19
Proposals are invited for short-term projects addressing and mitigating the health, social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak. Deadline: None - applicants are encouraged to apply at any time.
