Written evidence submitted to the Science and Technology Select Committee inquiry on Brexit, Science and Innovation

On 30 January 2019, The Science and Technology Committee held an evidence session on Brexit, Science and Innovation: Preparations for ‘No-Deal’. The aim of the session was to explore what a no-deal Brexit would mean for the science and innovation community and consider the adequacy of what the Government and its non-departmental public bodies are doing to prepare for such an outcome.

Our submission outlined our view that the main priorities in preparing for a potential ‘no deal’ scenario are to: Secure access to research collaborations and funding; Maintain our ability to attract and retain skilled people; and Ensure regulatory stability.
