Live export and animal welfare consultation response

The Society responsed to the call for evidence on controlling live exports for slaughter and to improve animal welfare during transport after the UK leaves the EU from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. This response was made in collaboration with the Royal Society of Biology. The British Pharmacological Society stressed the importance of considering laboratory animals separately from animals used for food, given their importance in the development of medicines.
