The Society responded to the "Facing the facts, shaping the future" consultation from Health Education England, jointly as the Clinical Pharmacology Skills Alliance (CPSA). The Society highlighted the importance of cross-cutting skills in healthcare and clinical research. The worskforce strategy should explicitly value generalist skills for tackling an ageing and increasingly multi-morbid population. The CPSA recommended a focus on investments and public health initiatives that aim to protect people from harm and reduce demand on the NHS.
