Publications

The British Pharmacological Society publishes world-class pharmacology and therapeutics research, analysis and opinion from its members and the wider scientific community. Its outputs include three scientific journals, an online magazine, a blog, and the IUPHAR/BPS Guide to PHARMACOLOGY database.

Journals

Our journals are owned and run by our members. They span a variety of topics relevant to the research and practice of pharmacology, and contain many articles that are free and open access. BPS membership allows you early access to content from both the British Journal of Pharmacology and the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.

Pharmacology Matters

Pharmacology Matters is the Society’s digital magazine, with articles written by BPS members on a wide variety of topics across pharmacology and therapeutics. Content is commissioned, selected and edited by the Pharmacology Matters Editorial Board.

Guide to PHARMACOLOGY

The Guide to PHARMACOLOGY is a free, open-access database of drug targets and the prescription medicines and experimental drugs that act on them.

It is searchable and its data is collected and reviewed by NC-IUPHAR (International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology Committee on Receptor Nomenclature and Drug Classification) sub-committees and individual experts
