The Federation of European Pharmacological Societies (EPHAR) has opened applications for its Young Investigators Award 2026. Two awards of €1,000 each will be given to young pharmacologists who have each published an outstanding research paper in the past two years (2024-2025).
The deadline for applications is 31 October 2026.

Requirements:
Applicant must:
- be under 35 years (as of the deadline, 31 October 2026);
- have published an outstanding paper in the past two years as first author;
- have conducted the submitted study in a European institution;
- be a member of one of EPHAR's member societies (such as the British Pharmacological Society).
Application documents:
- Your publication as a PDF file (if the paper is accepted, but not yet published, please send the manuscript and confirmation of acceptance)
- A letter explaining:
- how the study has advanced the field of pharmacology, and
- the contribution of the applicant to the study (for multi-author publications). Relevance of the study to the field of pharmacology is the single most important criterion for selection of the awardees.
- Proof of age (copy of personal ID document)
- A statement of membership to an EPHAR member society (signed by an official of the society). You can use the email confirmation you received when you were accepted/renewed your membership to the BPS.

We expect the outcome to be announced by the end of December 2026.
