2024 student prizes announced

The Society is delighted to announce the 2024 winners of two students prizes. 

Our prizes and awards are designed to recognise the contributions to pharmacology made by our members and increase our impact on the discipline by supporting the career progression of early career pharmacologists.  
 

BPS Contribution to Pharmacology Prize 

This prize recognises students' contributions to the promotion of pharmacology within their university.

The 2024 recipients are:

  • Freddie Grant, University of Portsmouth
  • Johanna Hughes, Glasgow Caledonian University

  • Bartosz Robert Pajak, Queen Mary University of London

Sir Colin Dollery Clinical Pharmacology Training Awards

This award aims to encourage medical students to pursue Clinical Pharmacology as a specialty and to increase basic pharmacology skills for medical students pursuing a career path within industry.

The award provides a cost-of-living bursary to students intercalating in pharmacology.

The 2024 recipients are:

  • Lucy Cowell, University of Birmingham
  • Joshua Heihre, King’s College London – intercalating at University of Cambridge
  • Iman Malik, University of Glasgow
