Society extends Guest Society partnership with ASPET

The British Pharmacological Society (BPS) is pleased to have extended its Guest Society agreement with the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) until 2028.

This partnership ensures each Society has a presence at their respective annual meetings through a joint symposium, exhibition or sponsorship.

There are also a range of benefits for BPS and ASPET members, who will receive appropriate discounted member rates when registering for meetings with the partner society, and be able to apply for any available opportunities to receive travel bursaries, with a focus on Early Career Pharmacologists.

The partnership started in 2017, and this renewal ensures these benefits are shared until Pharmacology 2028.

Speaking about the extension of this partnership, BPS CEO Rachel Lambert-Forsyth said:

“We are excited to continue working with ASPET, with whom we’ve had a fruitful partnership for many years. We have enjoyed collaborating with them during our annual meetings as well as theirs, and welcome this opportunity to continue working together.

“We’re already looking forward to joining them in St Louis, Missouri next year for ASPET 2023, and encourage our members to take the opportunity to attend this, and subsequent ASPET events.”

ASPET Executive Officer David Jackson said:

“ASPET and BPS have been strong partners for many years in ways that support the membership of both societies.

“Starting with the ASPET 2023 Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, this Guest Society partnership will ensure that valuable and relevant content continues to be shared with the attendees at our respective Annual Meetings for years to come.”
