Winner of the 2025 AJ Clark Studentship

The British Pharmacological Society is pleased to announce Elizabeth Carberry as the recipient of the 2025 AJ Clark Studentship

Elizabeth is currently studying for a BSc in Pharmacology at University of Nottingham. She will remain in Nottingham and commence a PhD in Pharmacology under the supervision of Professor Jeanette Woolard.

The AJ Clark Studentship will provide over £110,000 in funding to support Elizabeth over the next three years.

Responding to the award, Elizabeth said:

“Being awarded the prestigious AJ Clark Studentship is a privilege for which I am so grateful.  To have the opportunity to curate a project further characterising the molecular pharmacology of receptor tyrosine kinases and the implications of this in chronic pain is exceptionally important to me. I am really looking forward to working with my team of supervisors who has such a wealth of experience in this field and beyond. I sincerely appreciate the British Pharmacological Society’s support, and I will relish this next chapter of my academic career.”
