Members of the British Pharmacological Society have been recognised for their achievements and contributions to science in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours.
Professor Mark Caulfield was awarded a knighthood for services to the 100,000 Genomes Project.
Professor Graham Collingridge FRS was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) For services to Biomedical Sciences
Professor Geoffrey Isbister was awarded Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to medical research in the field of toxicology.
V. Craig Jordan OBE was awarded Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George (CMG) for services to women’s health.
Commenting on the awards, Professor Steve Hill, President of the Society, said:
It is wonderful to be able to congratulate our members on the recognition of their significant achievements and contribution to a diverse range of scientific fields. These well-deserved awards serve not only as acknowledgement of their successes so far, but also as inspiration for the next generation of pharmacologists and students.
