British Pharmacological Society Honorary Fellow elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society



Sir Mene Pangalos has been elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society for outstanding contributions to applied life science as an academic neuroscientist and a pharmaceutical leader who has transformed AstraZeneca’s R&D pipeline.
 
Mene was elected to Honorary Fellowship of the British Pharmacological Society in 2021 and Knighted in the 2020 New Year Honours.


Sir Mene Pangalos being awarded Honorary Fellowship of the British Pharmacological Society by Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed at the Society's 90th Anniversary Celebration Event in 2021.
 
BPS President, Professor Clive Page, said: “The Fellowship of the Royal Society is made up of the most eminent scientists, engineers and technologists. We are delighted that the major contributions of Sir Mene, an Honorary Fellow of the British Pharmacological Society, have been recognised through his election.”
