Full membership

Full membership is for those involved in pharmacology and its related disciplines, such as:

Academic researchers who will typically:

  • be at least five years post award of a PhD pharmacology or a related discipline
  • have published in peer reviewed journals

Academic teachers who will typically:

  • be at least five years post award of a PhD pharmacology or a related discipline

  • be able to demonstrate their contribution to the education and training of other scientists or healthcare professionals

Clinicians who will typically:

  • hold certification in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics; or

  • hold certification in another speciality with an interest in pharmacology; or
  • be in a recognised postgraduate training position (ST3 or above) in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics; or
  • be in a recognised postgraduate training position (ST3 or above) in a related speciality with an interest in pharmacology

Industry scientists who will typically:

  • have at least an undergraduate degree in pharmacology or a related discipline
  • have published in peer reviewed journals

Other professionals who can demonstrate significant involvement in pharmacology, such as:

  • pharmacists

  • medicinal chemists
  • nurses contributing to clinical research
  • individuals involved in regulatory affairs

January – September: £105  covers  membership until the end of the year.
