Vogt Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Postgraduate Studies

This prize rewards outstanding achievement in postgraduate studies. Winners will receive up to £500. Named in honour of Marthe Vogt, who was a pioneer throughout her career: graduating from Berlin University with both a medical degree and a doctorate in Chemistry (a rarity for a woman at that time), to becoming the third ever woman to join the British Pharmacological Society in 1937.

  • Scientific merit of work
  • Candidate's first author publications

Eligibility

  • Member for a least two years
  • Received MD or PhD in the last 18 months
  • Conducted postgraduate research in exploratory or applied pharmacology, or experimental, translational medicine and clinical research
  • The Society is committed to increasing the diversity of its award recipients. Excellent candidates are encouraged to apply, especially those from under-represented groups
