This award provides career enhancing opportunities for members. Winners will receive up to £10,000 to fund a short term project or visit to a laboratory to learn a new technique.

Eligibility
- A member for at least two years
- Within the first six years of a PhD award, or part-time equivalent (allowing for career breaks)
- Published at least two first author papers in the field of pharmacology
- On, or aiming for, an academic career track
- In full or part-time employment with at least six months remaining on their current contract
- Supported by a letter from the grant or fund holder which pays the applicants salary
- Not in a tenured position
- Preferably have presented at a Society meeting in the last three years.

- a brief CV (up to two pages)
- full list of publications, including journal impact factor and number of citations
- a breakdown summary of how the award will be used, including a breakdown of costs
If you have a fellowship you must include justification to why your current award does not cover your project or visit.
Winners must submit a report within 12 months of receiving the award and update the Society on their career progress in the years following.
