Grahame-Smith Prize

This biennial prize recognises outstanding contributions to clinical pharmacology. Winners will receive £1,000 and an invitation to give a lecture at a future meeting organised by the Society.

Applications will open in January 2022.

Eligibility

  • Mid-career level or new professors
  • A member for a least two years
  • The Society is committed to increasing the diversity of its award recipients. Excellent candidates are encouraged to apply, especially those from under-represented groups
  • Applications are subject to the Awards Terms and Conditions

Criteria

The Society will consider evidence of

  • Outstanding research
  • Patient and/or public engagement
  • scientific impact, including contributions to the Research Excellence Framework, education and training
  • Other significant contributions, including R&D leadership

Application

One document including:
  • Brief CV (max 2 pages), including degrees/qualifications, current/previous posts with dates, other posts held (e.g. member of editorial board or grant awarding panel). Details of previous prizes are welcome, but this is not a key deciding factor in the award decision
  • A summary of work to be considered (max to 2 pages)
  • A list of all publications, if applicable, with the 4 top publications in support of the nomination highlighted with links to the 4 articles. Please include data on citations for the articles.
