Our Trustees and officers lead our mission to promote and advance the whole spectrum of pharmacology.

The role of the council

The Council is composed of a President, President-Elect, Trustees and Vice-Presidents of our committees. The Council is legally responsible for all financial and strategic decisions made on behalf of the BPS. They oversee core decision-making around the work we do, and set priorities and aims based on the current landscape.

The Council delegate project activity to committees and the staff team, who then put the strategy into action through projects, such as managing our journals portfolio, running events, developing policy, creating opportunities, managing the BPS’s finances, and promoting the Society’s work.
