Senior Lecturer In Clinical Pharmacology And Consultant Intensivist
Dagan Lonsdale is a triple-accredited specialist in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics, intensive care, and general internal medicine. He received his PhD in clinical pharmacology from St George's, University of London, in 2018. He works as an intensivist at St George's Hospital and as a clinical pharmacologist within the university. His research is focused on dose optimization in critical illness using pharmacokinetic- pharmacodynamic (PKPD) modelling techniques. In education, he leads pharmacometrics teaching for the division of pharmacology. In 2024 his work was jointly awarded the Rang prize for outstanding achievement in teaching. He provides specialist pharmacometrics input for NICE’s antimicrobial evaluation committee, is the pharmacology editor for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, and has co-authored several pharmacology textbooks, including the ‘Top 100 drugs’. He was appointed Vice President (clinical) of the British Pharmacological Society in 2025.
