Muhammad Wahajuddin
Principal Scientist and Associate Professor
Dr Wahajuddin is a leading researcher and educator in the basic and applied aspects of pharmacology, including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and drug metabolism, with extensive experience in the USA, Europe, and Asia. His research has significantly advanced pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics within the broader context of drug discovery, development, delivery, and therapeutic innovations for cancer, osteoporosis, and malaria. He has published over 150 research papers, edited two books, and authored eleven book chapters. Holding eight patents, he has successfully transferred technologies, including a marketed product for fracture healing. A Fellow of leading UK scientific societies, he is also a member of the Global Young Academy (Germany) and the Indian National Science and Medical Science Academies. He has received prestigious awards such as the Humboldt Research Fellowship (Germany), the Junior Investigator Award from the Safety Pharmacological Society (USA), the Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize from the Indian Council of Medical Research (India) and Young Pharmaceutical Analyst Award from Indian Drug Manufacturer’s Association.
