Adam Daneshmend
Physician And Clinical Pharmacologist
As a physician, my expertise is deeply rooted in pharmacology and its practical application to patient care. I earned my Masters in Pharmacology from the University of Bristol. This strong foundation underpins my clinical focus on the management of hypertension, obesity, and lipid disorders. My experience includes valuable time at GSK and various positions within Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics during my training in London. During this period, I have worked with the BNF to improve prescribing practices. A member of the BPS since 2007, I've actively contributed to the next generation of doctors through my involvement in teaching pharmacology to undergraduates. My commitment to advancing patient outcomes is evident in my leadership in establishing a new metabolic clinic. Here, I've spearheaded primary care rollouts of GLP-1s and innovatively combined treatment of metabolic risk factors, including hypertension, diabetes, and lipids, into an integrated care model to significantly improve patient outcomes. Currently, I also serve as Principal Investigator for an innovative clinical trial at University College London, exploring the novel application of AI in predicting blood results.
