Alex Voisey

Alex undertook PhD training at Cardiff University (2017-2020), investigating the pharmacology of vascular responses to trace amines. He was appointed to a teaching focused lectureship on the Medical Pharmacology BSc at Cardiff University in 2022 where he leads innovative projects to enhance pharmacology education through interactive digital resources. He has pioneered strategic responses to the advent of Generative AI (Gen AI) by developing tools and guidance to promote effective and ethical use of Gen AI in assessment and learning with relevence beyond pharmacology education. Alex is an active member of the society and the current Chair of the Early Career Pharmacologists Advisory Group (ECPAG, 2025-2027). He is committed to creating opportunities for early career members and has played a leading role in the organisation of early career focussed events that support networking, career progression and engagement with the society.
