Professor if Tiicology
Professor Price, Emerita Professor, University of Surrey, has 40 years’ experience in toxicology. She is a Visiting Professor at the University of Hertfordshire, Honorary Professor with the UKHSA, Editor-in-Chief, Toxicology Research and past President of the British Toxicology Society (BTS). She is a Fellow of the Royal Societies of Biology and Chemistry in recognition of her work. Her research interests focus on the risk assessment and impact of drugs and chemical mixtures on human health. She is recognised internationally for developing and delivering toxicology education and training programmes. She currently chairs the BTS Skills Gap Initiative Advisory Board. She has been a Commissioner on Human Medicines (CHM). Professor Price advises government on the safety of medicines through the Paediatric Expert Advisory Committee and the CHM’s Highly Personalised Medicines Expert Working Group. She advises on chemical and biological risks to humans and the environment through the Committee on Toxicity and the Scientific Advisory Group on Chemical Safety. Professor Price was awarded an OBE in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours for services to Industry and Consumer Protection.
