  • Exclusive member discounts for our events and training workshops.
  • Early access to certain content from our three world-leading scientific journals.

Who is Affiliate membership suitable for?

You work or study with pharmacologists

If you work or study with pharmacologists, but aren't a pharmacologist yourself, you could still benefit from being part of the community and learning more about the subject. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Lab or research technicians.
  • Those who provide administrative or other services to a pharmacology-related organisation.
  • Marketing professionals who specialise in pharmacology and medicine-related industries.
Your work is related to pharmacology or you have an interest in the topic

You may not be a trained pharmacologist, but you could still have an interest in, or carry out work, related to the topic. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Science teachers.
  • Scientific career advisors.
  • Writers or journalists specialising in health, medicine or technology.
  • Students who aren't studying a pharmacology-related course, but are studying or carrying out a project related to pharmacology or pharmacologists. For example, studying Social Science and working on a project around health and medicine.
You have a pharmacology qualification but no longer work in the field

Studying pharmacology provides a range of transferable skills, and many people move into industries or jobs that are distantly- or unrelated to the subject. If you are still interested in the subject and/or have pharmacology-related skills and knowledge outside of your current career that you can offer to the community, then Affiliate membership could be for you!

If you are an undergraduate studying a pharmacology-related degree, you should apply for Undergraduate membership. If you are still a postgraduate student or have graduated from a pharmacology-related undergraduate or postgraduate degree less than five years ago, you should apply for Early Career membership. If you are actively working in pharmacology for five or more years, you should apply for Full membership.
