Who we are
The Clinical Committee advises the BPS Council on matters relating to promoting and advancing clinical pharmacology, particularly the clinical speciality. The Committee carries out a number of responsibilities, including (but not limited to) planning and delivering training in collaboration with CPT centres, SAC, and the NHS. Other tasks include workforce planning and career development, inclusivity within clinical pharmacology, advising on and developing policy, and helping strengthen and grow the clinical pharmacological community.
How we are organised
The Committee is usually comprised of twelve members, chaired by the Vice President – Clinical. Members have experience in clinical matters and are elected via member nomination and Vice President approval. All members of the Committee serve a term of three years and meet three times a year.

The Clinical Committee reports to the Executive Committee.
