Who we are
The Finance Committee advises Council on financial strategy and monitors the Society’s financial situation in detail. The committee reports to the Council, providing financial strategies and policies appropriate to the Society. The committee also engages in various other tasks, such as budget proposals and the creation of risk profiles, etc.
How we are organised
The Committee is comprised of (usually) eight members. It is chaired by the Honorary Treasurer and is supported by the Director of Finance, Business, and Commercial Operations. Terms for membership usually last three years and members are expected to meet three times a year to perform their duties. Individuals who are not members of the Society may be able to join the Committee, depending on relevant qualifications/experience and needs of the Committee. Current members can be seen below.
