Student Contribution to Pharmacology

This prize recognises students' contributions to the promotion of pharmacology within their university. Winners will receive a certificate and a year's free Early Career Membership.

The prize enables universities in the UK and Ireland to recognise the efforts of the final year student who has contributed most to the discipline of pharmacology. The Society is dependent on members who are enthusiastic about their discipline and are willing to contribute to the activities of the Society. These prizes will recognise such altruistic tendencies in our student members.

Criteria

The type of contributions considered include:

  • Involvement in a university pharmacology society
  • Volunteering at outreach or open day events.
  • Fulfilling the role of student representative or “voice” on the course or in the department.

Eligibility

  • Heads of Department or course leaders should nominate if they feel there is a suitable candidate in their department
  • The student will be in the final year of a medical or undergraduate bioscience degree containing substantial amounts of pharmacology (at least 50% of final year credits should be pharmacological)
