New guidelines for BJP authors

The British Journal of Pharmacology (BJP) is changing its article submission procedures to enable authors to enhance research transparency, to raise standards in experimental design and to improve their papers by including hyperlinks to the Guide to PHARMACOLOGY database.

The author guidelines explain how to undertake the procedures, and the logic of the changes is set out in a series of editorials available on the BJP website.

Many of the changes will be in effect from 1 August 2015; however, some changes concerning experimental design will be phased in to allow authors to build this into their work programme. All current and potential BJP authors are encouraged to read these at their earliest convenience to inform their planning.
