The field of cannabinoid research has been one of most vibrant and active areas of pharmacology and biomedical sciences in the recent years. The British Pharmacological Society is proud to host the 8th European Workshop on Cannabinoid Research at University of Roehampton, London, UK.

We invite senior academics, researchers, clinicians, postdoctoral researchers and early career investigators, postgraduate students as well as pharmaceutical industry representatives, policy makers, government agencies and members of the media to join us at this Focused Meeting.

Bursaries

Apply for a bursary

Bursaries are available to eligible members who are attending and presenting their work at the meeting. Eligible members are generally expected to have been a member of the Society for at least one year and must have submitted an abstract and be presenting in the poster and/or oral sessions at the meeting.

The maximum amount for individual bursaries and will usually be restricted to up to 75% of the aggregate cost of accommodation and travel for students and 50% for non-students. The maximum award is £750. Food and beverage costs and travel incidentals will not be reimbursed. Costs will be based on the Society’s assessment of the most economical mode of travel and a reasonable standard of accommodation.

Directions:

Train
The nearest station is Barnes, from which it is about 15 minutes' walk from the Main Site Campus (25 minutes to Whitelands Campus), or take bus 72 or 265, which stop outside all campuses. Trains to Barnes run from Clapham Junction, London Waterloo, Staines and Windsor.

Tube
District/ Piccadilly/ Hammersmith & City lines to Hammersmith. From the tube station, go to bus stop K in the Lower Bus Station next to the shopping centre and take bus 72 to all campuses.

District line to Putney Bridge. From outside the tube station, take bus 265 to all campuses.

Car
Please note, there is extremely limited parking on campus and in nearby streets. The University is easily accessible by public transport.
