Sir John Gaddum

Background

In 1966, the British Pharmacological Society commemorated the services of Sir John Gaddum to pharmacology by creating this prestigious biennial award.

The prize

The winner will receive  a medal, £1,000, and be given the opportunity to present a lecture at a meeting of the Society.

Criteria

Candidates will be assessed on their important contributions in the field of pharmacology or a related subject, usually achieved on the basis of research done within fifteen years of the nomination.

Eligibility

Candidates need not be members of the Society and may be from any part of the world. Nominations can be made by members only. Self-nomination is not acceptable.
