The Young Pharmacologists Advisory Group were pleased to invite young scientists from the UK and around the world with an interest in pharmacology and clinical pharmacology to this exciting half-day satellite event that kick-started Pharmacology 2016.

Speakers shared their personal experiences of shaping the future of pharmacology, with a view to helping support undergraduate, PhD and post-doctoral pharmacologists in identifying how they could develop their careers by getting involved across a variety of activities: with participating in their Society, public engagement and policy as three examples.

The programme was interactive and concluded with a networking reception to support attendees building their professional networks.

As a satellite event, registration was included as part of signing up to attend Pharmacology 2016. Places were limited to 100 participants, and these were reserved for undergraduate, PhD and post-doctoral pharmacologists.

All places got booked and there was a waiting list for those interested in participating. For further information, please contact our Membership & Community Officer Teesha Bhuruth (teesha.bhuruth@bps.ac.uk).
