Ready to take your presentation skills to the next level? Combine your love of science with your sense of humour at Pharma-Comedy: the stand-up event where pharmacologists take to the stage to share their science with the public.
Training
Not only will you showcase your scientific knowledge in a completely new way, but you will receive free training and mentorship from the renowned science communicator and comedian, Dr Steve Cross. With Dr Cross you will hone your comedic skills as he guides you in crafting a stand-up set that is both funny and informative.
Live performance
You and seven other pharmacologists will get to perform your sets in front of a live public audience at our Pharma-Comedy event. It's a night of hilarity and scientific discovery where you can share your expertise in a way that’s educational and laugh-out-loud funny. The event will take place on the evening of Wednesday 5 July at The Stand Comedy Club, Glasgow.
The event is one of several public engagement activities taking place in Glasgow during the week of the 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (WCP2023).
