Ingolf Cascorbi is professor of pharmacology at the University of Kiel, Germany and director of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Kiel. He graduated in biochemistry in 1985 and in medicine in 1992 at the Free University of Berlin. He earned a PhD in biochemistry in 1989 and an MD in 1999. He specialized in Clinical Pharmacology at the Charité Berlin and habilitated in 2000. In the same year, he was appointed as associate professor of pharmacology and toxicology at University of Greifswald. In 2004, he was appointed as chair of pharmacology to Kiel. His research interests are in pharmacogenomics and -epigenomics of ADME genes, neuropathic pain research, and clinical studies. He has published more than 220 scientific papers. Ingolf Cascorbi is currently Vice Dean of Education of the Medical Faculty. He is also member of several editorial boards and on boards of scientific societies.
